SEARCH CRITERIA DISCLAIMERS
Not every document recorded since 1990 is computerized.
This website updates information from the mainframe approximately
every five minutes. The start date for imaging various documents
occurred at different dates depending on the type of document.
Please note the following dates when searching documents.
Federal Tax Lien Filings
Federal tax lien images are available after January
1, 1995.
Financing Statements (Uniform Commercial Code)
Prior to October 1, 1993-All U. C. C's were indexed manually and
if it affected real estate, it would also be indexed in the tract
side of the computer by name.
From October 1, 1993 to January 25, 2005-All U. C. C's were indexed
in the Financing Statement System in the computer. Those affecting
real estate were also indexed in the tract system of the computer
by name.
Since July 1, 2001 all non-real estate U. C. C's are filed with
the Secretary of State. All real estate related U. C. C's are still
filed with the Recorder's office.
From January 26, 2005 to Current-All real estate related U. C.
C's are indexed and scanned in the tract system of the computer.
INTERNET USE INSTRUCTIONS
This website contains Real Estate Documents from 1990 to present.
Real Estate Documents prior to 1990 can be found only in the recorders
office. Documents are indexed under a tract indexing system. We
assign an Instrument Number to every document that is recorded.
Each instrument is also assigned a page and volume number. This
is done so each page in an instrument is accounted for.
You many search documents by using a Name, Book/Page and Instrument
Number. The index is forward and reverse. Here are some examples
of a forward and reverse index.
If you are searching for your mortgage, you may search for the
Mortgagor or Mortgagee.
If you are searching for a deed, you may search for the grantor
or grantee.
The most common search is a names search. Simply type the name
of the person or entities you are searching, last name first, first
name last and click the search button. Below are some examples
of other name searches. If you are searching a business, type the
full name of the business.
For a church type CH-name of the church
For a school type SCH-name of the school
If the business begins with a number type…
NUMBER-name of the business
Financing Statements (Uniform Commercial Code)
If you are looking to search any UCC liens that were
filed prior to January 20, 2005, you will need to look under the
UCC Index. You may search by name or file number. If you want to
search for a UCC filing after January 20, 2005, you need to search
under the tract index.
