Home Road Grade Separation at CSX Railroad (Liberty
Township)
CONSTRUCTION
UPDATES:
09-09-11: Traffic Switch to New Bridge on September 12
Traffic will be
switched to the new bridge over the railroad tracks on Monday, September 12
after morning rush hour. Work on the rest of the project will continue
through October, including completion of access roads to adjacent properties and
completion of final paving on Home Road.
Project Description:
Construction of a railroad overpass bridge on Home Road over the CSX
railroad tracks, including major approach reconstruction. This project
will eliminate the at-grade railroad crossing, improving safety
and mobility on Home Road.
Project Location and Limits:
Home Road at CSX railroad (just west of Liberty Road North). Project
limits extend approximately 1/4 mile east and west of the railroad.
Road Closure Information:
Home Road traffic will be maintained, with short duration closures.
Project Schedule:
Design engineering: 2004 to 2007
Right-of-way acquisition: 2007-2009
Utility relocation: 2008-09
Construction: May 2010 to November 2011
Engineering Information:
Project development, planning and engineering is being coordinated
through Ohio Department of Transportation District 6.
This project received funding through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act
of 2009, and will be administered by ODOT through
the construction phase. American Structurepoint, Inc. of
Columbus, Ohio provided preliminary engineering services for the project.
Construction Information:
Low bidder is Trucco Construction of Delaware, Ohio with a bid of $7.75
million. ODOT will manage the construction
of this project.
