PROJECT INFORMATION
Hartford Road Bridge Replacement (Trenton Township
CR-44-4.19)
Project Description:
Replacement of a narrow, steel jack arch bridge in poor structural
condition. Project includes removal of existing bridge, and installing a
28’ x 10’ precast, reinforced concrete arch culvert. Approach
improvements including pavement and shoulder widening, drainage
improvements, and guardrail installation complete the project.
Project Location and Limits:
Hartford Road about ¼ mile east of Ross Road. Total project length is
about 400 feet.
Road Closure Information:
Road closed to through traffic with detour posted. Local resident
traffic maintained.
Project Schedule:
Design engineering: November 2003 to February 2004
Right-of-way acquisition: April to July 2005
Utility relocation: June 2005 to January 2006
Construction: April to June 2006

Construction documents prepared by Delaware County Engineer’s
Design
Department.
Construction Information:
Built by Delaware County Highway Department.
