Delaware County Engineer

The project site is located at the intersection of Harriott Road (County Road 131) and Concord Road (Township Road 129) about 2 miles north of Dublin, Ohio.

Project Background:

The intersection of Harriott Road and Concord Road has poor sight distance caused by deficient horizontal and vertical alignment of Harriott Road. In addition, the bridge on Harriott Road located between the north and south legs of Concord Road is in poor structural condition and need to be replaced.

Preliminary traffic projections by the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission show significant population and traffic growth in nearby areas, forcing this intersection to carry additional traffic in the 20 year planning horizon.

Description of the Work:

Phase 1: Replacement of the bridge on Harriott Road located between the north and south legs of Concord Road

Phase 2: Construction of a single-lane roundabout at Concord Road (south).

Road Closure Information:
The maintenance of traffic plan will be developed during final design stage. Construction is expected to last 4 to 6 months.

Project Schedule:

The project is currently in preliminary engineering stage. The remainder of the project schedule will be released when it is available.

Engineering Information:
Delaware County has contracted with CH2M Hill, Inc. of Columbus, Ohio to develop alternatives and prepare construction plans for the project.
