PROJECT INFORMATION
Chesire Road and 3 B's & K Intersection
Improvements (Berlin/Berkshire Townships)
Project Location: The project site is located at the intersection of Cheshire Road (County Road 72) and 3 B's and K Road (Township Road 35), about 4 miles west of Sunbury, Ohio.
Project Background: The existing intersection is deficient due to poor intersection geometrics, sight distance and crash history. The project proposes to determine the best improvement for the intersection. Roundabouts and traffic signal alternatives will be evaluated.
Road Closure Information:
Project Schedule: The project is currently in preliminary engineering stage. Detailed design of the preferred alternative will happen through late 2010 into 2011. Purchasing necessary right of way will happen in 2011 and construction is scheduled for 2012-13.
Engineering Information: Estimated Project Cost:
The current project budget is
$1.4 million including engineering, right of way acquisition and
construction. The project will be paid for with Delaware County road and bridge
