PROJECT INFORMATION

2006 Road Improvement Program

Project Description:
Resurfacing, base reconstruction, pavement sealing, microsurfacing and other improvements on 54 miles of county roads and 66 miles of township roads.  Project participation includes Delaware County and 14 townships.

Road Closure Information:
Traffic to be maintained on each road that will be under construction, using flaggers and 1-lane, 2-way operation.

Project Schedule:
Design engineering: Fall 2005 to spring 2006
Right-of-way acquisition: None
Utility relocation: None

Construction documents prepared by the Delaware County Engineer’s Design Department.

Construction Information:
Contract awarded to the Shelly Company of Thornville, Ohio. 

   Total contract amount $5,144,894.55. 

   County share $2,031,312.34

   Township share $3,113.582.21

$5.2 million
