In October 2015, Governor Kasich signed into law the establishment of the Common Pleas Court of Delaware County, Ohio, Domestic Relations Division.
On January 1, 2017, the Domestic Relations Division of the Common Pleas Court of Delaware County, Ohio was formed and Judge Randall D. Fuller took office as the first Judge of the newly created Court.
The Domestic Relations Division hears all cases involving divorce, dissolution of marriage, legal separation, annulment, and post-decree proceedings. The Court also hears cases involving questions of paternity, custody, visitation, child support, and the allocation of parental rights and responsibilities between unmarried persons, and post-decree proceedings. The Court also hears cases for Civil Protection Orders requested pursuant to R.C. 3113.31.
The newly created Court is experiencing tremendous transition. Currently, the Court conducts hearings in two different Courthouses located at 91 North Sandusky Street, Delaware, Ohio and 140 North Sandusky Street, Delaware, Ohio.
Upon completion of the new Courthouse, located at 110 North Sandusky Street, the Domestic Relations Division will be located on the 400 level. The new Courthouse has an anticipated completion date of August 2017.
