The Delaware County Board of Commissioners is charged with running the county under the direction of the Ohio Revised Code. We currently have just over 400 employees under the administration of the Commissioners and another 700 employees within the other offices of county government, resulting in a $47.5 million payroll.
Commissioner Stapleton is the current Board President and is in his first term with 3 and 1/2 years remaining. Both Commissioner O'Brien and Commissioner Thompson are in their first term with 1 and 1/2 years remaining.
Established in 1808, Delaware County is the fastest growing county in the state and ranks 15th in size. We are also the 20th fastest growing county in the nation. As of the 2010 census, our population was 174,214, a 57 percent increase since 2000.
Tim Hansley serves as the County Administrator and the Assistant County Administrator is Letha George.
Jennifer Walraven is the Clerk to the Commission.
