Probation Incentive Program (PIP)

The Probation Incentive Program is designed to address the needs of the community in a manner that promotes public safety, and reduces recidivism rates. PIP is a comprehensive program that focuses on offenders who have a history of drug and/or alcohol abuse along with anti-social tendencies. The program is designed to meet the offender where he/she is in the recovery process. PIP offers services that will help guide a client on to a sober, healthy, and productive path. As with any program, it is up to the participant to make the appropriate changes for a sober lifestyle, and with support from the PIP staff the transition may be smoother.

Goals/Objectives
• Evaluate offenders that have a drug/alcohol history and provide a comprehensive treatment program that will address problems associated with drug/alcohol abuse.
• Reduce recidivism rates
• Reduce jail overcrowding
• Make referrals for the dually diagnosed individual
• Make referrals for appropriate services based on individual need
